Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (September)
Every year, YASKA leads nationwide campaigns to spread awareness about childhood cancer. Activities include Gold Ribbon Campaign, Awareness walks or fun runs, School programmes, Community events, Talks & exhibitions. These campaigns help educate the public and highlight the importance of early detection.
International Representation
YASKA proudly represents Brunei in global paediatric oncology forums, including: SIOP Asia, Childhood Cancer International (CCI Asia), VIVA-St. Jude Paediatric Forums in Singapore, Through these platforms, YASKA learns, shares knowledge, and brings global insights back to Brunei’s children and families.
Hospital & Ward Activities
Every month, YASKA organizes inpatient sessions such as: Art workshops, Music sessions, Themed celebrations, Games and craft activities. These create moments of joy and emotional support for children in treatment.
Survivor Celebrations & Camps
Survivor camps and special events bring together children who have completed treatment.
They form friendships, build confidence, and celebrate life beyond cancer.
School & Community Engagement
YASKA works with schools, youth groups, and public organizations to run: Charity events, Awareness talks, Fundraising drives, Student volunteer initiatives. These empower young people to become advocates for childhood cancer awareness.
Corporate & CSR Partnerships
Local businesses collaborate with YASKA to sponsor events, provide in-kind donations, or participate in awareness campaigns. These partnerships strengthen community support and ensure programmes continue sustainably.
